Red Mountains is a rugged and scenic location located in North America. Composed of rugged banded snow capped mountains and hills sheltering long valleys, deep secluded canyons and hidden cul-de-sacs, Red Mountains is a land filled with diverse ores and rocks. The terrain of Red Mountains is a mix of desert, fertile valleys and snow lines. Many enrichments of both plants and furniture are available here also. Be aware many of the consumable plants, especially those introduced in the Farm/Settlement release are only found during your first visit.

- One of the houses North-East of the Balloon contains a flaming pentagram that appears upon entering the front door. Also in the house are a Skinning Knife, platter of human body parts, and several bloody skeletons. A Mist Walker guards the front of the home.
- There are multiple piles of Contaminating Agent to the North of the Balloon. These count towards the majority of the cleansing progress.
