[[Kitsune's Den]] is also one of the better examples of the difference between visiting a biome for the first time and later visits. The guide [[Initial Biome Exploration]] explains this difference. Sadly many of the houses here have very poor spawn rates after the initial looting is done. The biome itself has two sides, following the path away from the balloon it will end at another path. To the right is the smaller upper village area and to the left is the larger village area which is the [[Ninja]] area. Both sides are worth visiting. There is also a few "upper" areas to explore for those curious players to enjoy.

A general tip for farming Kitsune's Den is to use a high quantity resource such as Paper or Egg, split the stack a few times as there are a lot of houses and drop them at the door of a building when you have finished searching it. This eliminates searching the same building multiple times. It is not really necessary to pick these up when ready to leave as they will vanish when you leave the biome and they are an easily replaceable item.

Another tip is if you wish to continue farming the Ninjas just kill them and do not loot them or destroy their spawn banners. When you have finished exploring or farming the left area of the biome where they spawn then as you leave loot the corpses. They are a good source of gold coin and potential loot. Leave the banners alone if you wish to continue this process or if you decide enough is enough then destroy the banners and the Ninjas will not spawn anymore, however remove the banners before looting the bodies otherwise you may be surprised as the Ninjas do respawn rather fast.

Kitsune's Den is also home to a few Tigers. It is best to make sure that once finished with the Ninja threat to swap your bow over to the Compound Bow as the Tigers are rare. If you have yet to acquire a quantity of Tranquilizer Arrows it is best to wait until you have before initially visiting this biome also. Do not worry about finding them as they normally will find you quite easily as you explore.

The last and possibly the most important tip is to be very curious and patient here. Explore all the nooks and crannies, all the bends and dips, the walls and water. Your first trip here amidst the quiet beauty can be very rewarding.

Kitsune's Den is a small biome compared to most of the others and is easily farmed. It is "Mushroom Heaven" as all the mushrooms in the game spawn here in profusion. It is prime site for all iris's except for Red Iris. It is also the best biome for farming Wild Seeds. Although Cultsberg may match it for quantity found, you would need to farm the entire Cultsberg biome to gather what you can do in Kitsune's Den in a quarter or less of the time. This biome also contains Blood Iris and some Bearded Iris both important for purchasing the White and Snow White Tigers in Corpse Harbor. This is the only biome to farm Bamboo so far in the game also.

Gathering the Iris's are best left alone until you have crafted the Art Station and have a dedicated storage container for them. As far as collecting the Blood Iris and Bearded Iris you need to remember that for each five you collect you will need 15 of either Jade or Turquoise also to use them. These two spawns are rare. One stack of either of these iris's to be used up would mean 300 of the rare stones would need gathered. That is a lot to gather and in one visit to Kitsune's Den you can easily gather the five iris's needed. You may wish to wait to acquire these as needed, they will always be there as they are Static spawns and are found in the same spot every time you visit.

Kitsune's Den is also one of the better examples of the difference between visiting a biome for the first time and later visits. The guide Initial Biome Exploration explains this difference. Sadly many of the houses here have very poor spawn rates after the initial looting is done. The biome itself has two sides, following the path away from the balloon it will end at another path. To the right is the smaller upper village area and to the left is the larger village area which is the Ninja area. Both sides are worth visiting. There is also a few "upper" areas to explore for those curious players to enjoy.

Please bear in mind that in the near future, in a post 2.26 release that potential terrain and biome changes may be implemented here.
